I already have many books on pretty much every aspect of photography, so when I bought this one I expected the usual overlap of information. You know when an author covers a certain aspect of photography like composition or lighting, you find you've already read about it in another book. Not so with this one. Don has filled this book full of information not found elsewhere. He covers all the ground from starting out as a part-time photographer to working as a weekend warrior and finishing up with what to expect as a full time pro.Don chooses to include some of his real world working experiences along with new ideas on subjects such as "how to win and keep clients" or "how to work with average people" which keeps it an interesting read from start to finish. Mix that up with just the right amount of photographs to illustrate his points, I think it's an outstanding book that will benefit, both, new photographers and existing pros looking to re-ignite their business.
