This book is really helpful. I use Photoshop quite a bit and learned a lot about how to fix those problematic areas in a photo to take it to the next level. This is especially useful when I take photos of the exterior and interior of homes. The book goes through different tools to adjust lighting and color saturation. However, I really enjoyed the chapter on colorizing black and white images. The book shows how to colorize the whole image, or just one aspect in it. I don't generally work with faces or portraits, but it'll be nice to come back to this book when the need arises in the future. That section made me want to go back to some of the family vacation photos I have posted on Facebook and clean them up.I really recommend this book for the novice. It's well written and easy to understand. If I have one complaint (and it's a minor one) is that I wish there had been screen shots of the Photoshop tool bar. It would be great to see the Pucker tool icon, for example, or any of the other tools mentioned in the book. Seeing the icon would help identify it on my screen.Great resource and I highly recommend it.
