I bought this book after reading all the good reviews and I'm very disappointed. I'm writing this review for the benefit of people like me who are advanced amateur. What I resent most is that the potentially useful topics (like techniques for calibrating your individual camera) are covered very briefly, often in one paragraph only.On the other hand, topics such as the general material available on the market, are given a detailed treatment. For example:Types of memory cards (CF, SD, Memory Stick, etc.): 2 pagesWi-fi networks: 2 pagesBatteries, chargers and adapters: 4 pagesStill, it's a very pretty book that covers a lot of ground, whether useful or not. It's the kind of reading material you'd be delighted to find in the dentist's waiting room. You wouldn't run out to buy it but it might give you ideas.
